Bio. Historian-philosopher of Kashmir Shaivism. His Abhinavagupta volume established the teacher list (Lakshmanagupta/Krama first, Sambhunatha/Kula last), the 990-1014 literary activity window, and the Saptarsi dating method; his Bhaskari translation carries the IPV English used against Torella.
